For 5 years now, I've had my '98 Savage and a '97 Sportster. Time is pressing, and it's been such a lousy summer so far, I couldn't justify keeping 2 bikes licenced and insured. (the cost of insurance has become astronomical!!)Something had to give.
I really didn't care for the sound of the bike. The ride was rough, and the lack of power compared to other bikes it's size was laughable. Handling was atrocious; big time understeer. The most annoying feature was a very small oil leak, from where, I couldn't figure out. The hard starts requiring choke even in hot weather was annoying too.
But, all said and done, I'm glad she's gone. I don't think I'm gonna miss that Harley one bit.
